The Programme
The Nestle Technical Training Centre offers 18-month multi-skill, theoretical and rigorous vocational training in three core disciplines:
  • Mechanical maintenance activities
  • Electrical / Instrumentation/Calibration maintenance activities
  • Introduction to Automation maintenance activities
Learning Facilities
The Centre is ideally located in the middle of engineering activities in the factory. It is well equipped with the following facilities: Modern classrooms, standard library, computer and technical drawings rooms, state-of-the-art electrical/instrumentation/automation and mechanical workshops.

The students are also exposed to industrial work experience in the various plants within the factory. Trainees are continuously assessed and appraised during the period of training.

Entry Requirements
Candidates must have obtained the following qualifications not earlier than 2013.
  • Minimum of Lower Credit in Ordinary National Diploma (OND) issued by a Nigerian Polytechnic in any of the following (or related) fields of study:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Electrical/Installation & Maintenance Engineering
    • Applied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics)
    • Applied Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering
    • Industrial Measurement and Control/Instruments Mechanics Work
    • Automation Engineering
  • In addition, candidates are mandatorily required to have five (5) O-Level credits or its equivalent obtained in one sitting in the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, English Language. Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing.

We have 7000 trucks to share, with intelligent, hardworking and committed professionals (HND or Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement), willing to manage and operate a truck, if necessary by appointing their own driver (who should pass the institutional screening, orientation and training process).

We will support you all the way, providing first class maintenance support, fuel and other resources available at our facilities.

To succeed in this entrepreneurship scheme, each professional must ensure at all times the availability of his/her truck for loading at the plant level and off-loading at the customer/depot locations, which is to serve with excellence all of our cement customers with our product.

By this, we are upscaling the quality of our customer service delivery. For you to become bonafide owner of the truck, among other considerations, the truck entrepreneur must have logged a minimum of 400,000 km.

On meeting the mileage target, a nominal amount will be paid by the truck entrepreneur and this amount will be provided to the truck driver who would have assisted the truck entrepreneur in meeting this target, the money will represent a discharge payment to the driver.

Any driver so discharged above can again apply and be engaged to work with another truck entrepreneur. You can be one of the fortunate ones and you just need to apply, supported with credentials and introduced by reliable and honourable guarantors.

Position Requirements
